Manage Your Grumpy Hip Foundation is a six week structured physio-led programme based on evidence and experience, designed to leave you with certainty that you can
reduce your hip pain,
improve your sleep,
be more comfortable walking and
going up and down hills and stairs,
stand for longer and
be confident that you can do more of the things you love.
Manage Your Grumpy Hip is based on my proven strategies to increase comfort and strength, so at the end, you will be ready to progress, and will be more comfortable and confident walking, going up stairs and hills, and lying on your side in bed (or the other side).
You'll have taken the first steps in building the momentum and kills needed to keep loading heavier and longer, and you'll know exactly where to go to keep making improvements, and what to do.

This program will eventually be $997 (VIP level) and $697 (standard) but because you are part of this initial beta round, I'm offering $600 in savings... your investment is only $497 ($500 saving)
I'm taking just 10 founding VIP clients (paying LESS than standard price) to provide the most outstanding service in this first round that I can - to each and every person.
This price includes $376 worth of bonuses
✅ [Bonus #1] – Manage Your Grumpy Hip {Bedrock} — Value $197
The exact programme I created for one of my clients when their hip was particularly grumpy.
Bedrock is designed to give you a place to start when your hip is too irritable for jumping straight into a full strength programme. It helps you settle things down, build tolerance and start loading your hip in a way it can handle.
✅ [Bonus #2] – Manage Your Grumpy Hip {Base} — Value $97
Once you've got through Bedrock, Base is the next step.
It's designed to bridge the gap between a really grumpy hip and getting properly stuck into your strength progression — helping you gradually build your capacity before moving on to the next level of MYGH.
✅ [Bonus #3] – Manage Your Grumpy Hip {Follow-Alongs} — Value $67
Once you've completed the six-week programme, you don't necessarily want to just finish and wonder what to do next.
These short follow-along sessions give you a practical way to keep moving, keep building your capacity and maintain the work you've already put in — without having to think about what exercises to choose.
✅ [Bonus #4] – Hip First Aid — Value $35
Because even when things are going well, hips can still have a grumpy day.
Hip First Aid gives you a practical plan for those times when your hip suddenly feels more sore or irritated, so you know what to do rather than immediately assuming you've stuffed everything up.
It's your “my hip is really sore — now what?” resource.

Settle
If your hip is highly irritable, the first job isn't necessarily to load it harder, it's to settle things enough that we can actually start doing things (progressively loading (while realising that loading can also settle things)).
Our job is to find your starting point and settle it. I give you multiple options to help, not just exercises, things you can do to improve your comfort and let you load more.
We're not looking for "how hard can I work before it hurts?" We're looking for the sweet spot: "how much work can I do while keeping my symptoms settled?"
Education
We always start with understanding what's going on and what's impacting your hip in daily life. You'll learn what we actually mean by tendon, tendinopathy and bursitis, including why the painful structure isn't always the whole story, and why I never say tendinitis.
You'll learn about normal tendon structure, how tendons change, and why your pain doesn't always give a perfect picture of what's happening underneath and what else you can do. The aim is to understand your hip rather than be scared of it, and one of the most important skills you'll develop is learning how to interpret your response to exercise.
Progressive Loading (Deload & Reload)
Take the load away from the cranky structure, then start to load it again within tolerance to build capacity. Before smashing out harder exercises, we find out what your hip can currently tolerate, and you'll learn to recognise when your hip needs a little less rather than forcing through.
There are seven exercise sessions, worked through in order, but you don't necessarily do a session every day. If your hip needs a rest, you take one. If something doesn't go to plan, we problem-solve it (that's one of my super-powers).
Each session has three pathways, and each exercise has standard, regression and progression versions, so you're never stuck with one version regardless of how your body responds. It's as close to personalised as an online programme can be.
And I'm right here with you
One of the big differences between the MYGH beta and simply buying a programme of exercises: if your hip gets grumpy, you can message me in the community. I'll be in there once a day, Monday to Friday, answering questions, and because you are a VIP member, I can answer your questions personally, with video review of your exercises, live problem solving and creating new exercise videos personalised to you. Every week there's a short 15-minute live session on one specific topic that matters for hip rehab.

Who is Storm?
I'm Storm — a physiotherapist since 2002, a farmer, and the person behind That Farming Physio – slightly obsessed with helping people live bigger lives through better movement.
I've spent more than 20 years working with people with musculoskeletal pain, injuries and movement problems — helping them understand what's going on, work out what they can do about it, and get back to doing the things that matter to them.
I completed my Bachelor of Health Science (Physiotherapy) at AUT in 2002 and my Postgraduate Diploma in Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy in 2004.
My focus in my professional life has been working with people who are injured, and getting them back to their normal life. This is my purpose.
These days, I'm working as a physio both online and in-person — while also farming sheep and beef on our hill-country farm near Gisborne (NZ).
This matters when it comes to Manage Your Grumpy Hip.
I don't just want to give you a list of exercises and tell you to do them three times a week. (You can get this information ANYWHERE).
I want you to understand how to work with your hip.
How to know when you're doing enough or too much, how to progress and regress, how to adjust and how to get back to real life. The whole purpose of this programme is to build your capacity so you can do all the things you want.
I've developed MYGH from my clinical experience, ongoing learning and the reality that bodies have to work in the real world — not just in a treatment room.
Whether you want to get back to training, walking, working, farming, sport or simply moving through your day without your hip dictating what you can and can't do, that's what this programme is designed to help you work towards.
You don't need to become an expert in your hip. You need a practical plan for what to do with it.
MYGH isn't about diagnosing yourself from a list on the internet.
It's for people with a grumpy outer hip who are finding things like walking, standing on one leg or lying on that side uncomfortable — and who want a structured way to start improving what their hip can tolerate.
There are also situations where I'd rather you were assessed individually first. I've included those below so you can make an informed decision about whether MYGH is appropriate for you.
You're not necessarily starting from scratch.
If you've been told to “strengthen your glutes” before and it either didn't help or made your hip grumpier, that doesn't automatically mean strengthening is the problem.
Sometimes the issue is what you were doing, how much you were doing, or where you started.
MYGH gives you a structured way to work out what your hip can tolerate now — then build from there.
That's okay. You don't have to start at the point where you're already comfortable doing 3 × 45 seconds of work.
MYGH gives you a way to start smaller, build your tolerance and progress from there. Starting counts.
I don't want you blindly pushing through pain.
MYGH teaches you how to use your symptoms as information while you build capacity — including what to do if your hip becomes more irritated. And if your symptoms don't fit the programme, or your response is outside the expected boundaries, that's a reason to modify or seek individual assessment — not simply push harder.
I get it. You're busy. You have work, family, animals, farming, training and approximately 47 other things that apparently need doing today. MYGH is designed around less than 15 minutes a day.
The goal isn't to give you more to do.
It's to give you something practical enough that you can actually do it.
How long you've had a grumpy hip doesn't tell us everything about what it can tolerate now.
MYGH isn't about pretending your hip hasn't been sore for months or years.
It's about starting from where you are and gradually building what your hip can handle.
You don't have to put your life on hold.
MYGH isn't about wrapping yourself in cotton wool until your hip is magically perfect.
You're still going to have a life to live.
The aim is to help you gradually build your hip's tolerance for the things you actually need and want to do.
Walking. Standing. Working. Training. Getting through your day.
Real strength for real life.
MYGH isn't designed to replace individual assessment or treatment.
If you're already working with a physio, check with them before adding another rehabilitation programme — particularly if you have a specific diagnosis, recent injury or other symptoms they're currently managing.
MYGH is not designed for everyone with hip pain.
Individual assessment may be more appropriate if your symptoms are unusual, severe, rapidly worsening, follow a significant injury, or you have other concerns that aren't covered by the programme.
I've included the full “Is this for me?” section before you purchase so you can make an informed decision.
You don't need to become a rehabilitation machine.
You don't need perfect motivation.
You need a starting point that feels doable.
MYGH is built around short, manageable sessions — because the best programme isn't the one that looks impressive on paper.
It's the one you can actually fit into your life.
Starting counts.
Of course you can.
There are thousands of free exercises online.
That's not really the problem.
The tricky bit is knowing:
• where to start
• how much to do
• what to do when your hip gets grumpy
• when to progress
• when to back off
• and how to build towards what you actually want to do
MYGH gives you the structure and progression, rather than handing you another random list of exercises.
This isn't a generic fitness programme.
MYGH has been created by a physiotherapist who's been working in musculoskeletal physiotherapy since 2002 — and who also understands what it's like to need your body to function in real life.
This isn't about perfect gym exercises performed in a perfect environment.
It's about building capacity for your actual life.
Because I'm inviting a small group of people to go through MYGH while I refine the programme based on real participant feedback and experience.
That means you get early access at a significantly reduced beta price.
You'll be helping shape the programme while getting access to the same core MYGH process I'm building for the final version.
No.
The beta means I'm testing and refining the programme experience, delivery and progression with a smaller group.
I'll be listening to your feedback and making improvements along the way.
I'll also be very clear about what the programme can and can't do — because I don't believe in promising miracles just because something is being sold online.
I can't promise that an online programme will fix your hip.
Anyone who does promise that should make you a little suspicious.
What I can promise is that MYGH gives you a structured process to work through rather than randomly guessing at exercises.
You'll know what you're doing, why you're doing it, how to progress and what to do if your hip becomes more grumpy.
Six weeks gives us a practical timeframe for working through the programme and seeing whether your hip's tolerance and comfort are changing.
It is not a guarantee that your hip will be completely pain-free in six weeks.
The goal is improvement — not a magic deadline.
